The Spanish language has become more and more important for missionaries and religious organizations in the U.S. Most of these organizations are orientated internationally and therefore reach out to many different countries of the world including those in Latin America. Others focus their missions within the U.S. As of 2004, one in eight residents in the U.S. was of Hispanic origin, or 14.06 % of the population. Due to assist missionaries in their task of preparing themselves for their specific mission, IECR offers SPANISH COURSES FOR MISSIONARIES AND RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS in San José, Costa Rica, in order to meet the special language needs. In each Missionary Spanish course participants benefit from intensive Spanish language study, contacts to local institutions, and lectures on topics relevant to the field. These contacts enable you to get insights into Costa Rican religious background and practice your gained knowledge. In four to six lessons daily you will first start with general Spanish and vocabulary. After this first part of the course we continue with religious terminology. The course ends up with the specified part on your individual chosen section. Required level: the courses are offered in all language levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced, superior). The course materials are carefully designed to meet the requirements of professionals working for international missions and for religious people and persons with a need to increase their missionary vocabulary. For more information, please contact us and indicate your personal wishes - we will be pleased to assist you.
